Side Charlie truck work.
We shared with you a two alarm fire in the 4th Battalion earlier this week. Below is the Spanish version, focusing on the operations on Side Charlie of 1432 University Boulevard.

The importance of duties assigned to companies operating in the rear and on the roof cannot be understated. Even if your department doesn't operate with specific company-level task assignments, someone is going to be responsible for areas other than the fire room and the front of the building. This fire shown was on the top floor of an occupied apartment and involved a pitched roof built over top a flat roof.
Take a look at how your department, and neighboring ones, operate at structure fires and see if the information below can be added into your game plan. Remember, just because you don't have an actual 'truck' doesn't mean you can neglect throwing ladders and venting the roof.
